Bulk vending is the sale of unsorted confections, nuts,
gumballs, toys and novelties (in capsules) that are selected for the customer at random
and dispensed through coin operated, non-electrical vending machines.
The products vended are generally non-perishable. Health and safety concerns are minimal, compared
to electrically operated vending machines which may dispense perishable food
products. Bulk machines typically vend products for 50˘ or less.
You can start part-time with
a small investment. Part-time is the best way to get started
because it minimizes your risk. When you determine that you like
what you are doing, you can continue to grow your business, maybe even
to the point that it becomes
profitable enough to be a full-time job. Are you tired of working for someone else?
Get started today!
Vending is an all cash
business. There are no bad checks, credit risks, or accounts
receivables. Your cash flow starts
the day your machines are placed and they start taking in quarters.
Finding good locations is the key to your
success. You can use a locating company to help you place your
machines, or you can find locations yourself. In our experience
the most successful vending operators are the ones that hone their
locating skills and are able to do their own locating. However,
like any skill, it takes time to learn how to locate, so paying someone
to help you locate your machines is way to get machines on
location. As you become able to locate your own machines the money
you save is money in your pocket. See our list of potential
locations here.
You won't make much money with vending if
you:
-
Pay too much for your machines when starting up.
-
Buy machines that are cheap and break-down
frequently.
-
Don't keep your machines clean and filled with
product.
-
Aren't willing to relocate machines that don't
perform at expected levels.
-
Don't treat your vending route as a business.
While talking about losing money sounds negative, it
is necessary for you to realize that you will not attain any degree of
success if you aren't willing to deal with the above basic issues. While
"taking care" of the above principles will not assure you
success, the potential
financial rewards are far outweighed by the small risk if you start out
properly. A procrastinator's mentality is probably the biggest
roadblock to becoming a successful vending operator. Each of the
items in the list above CAN be taken care of. As you consider
each item, ask yourself if it is a problem you WILL take care
of.
Working, Working, Working:
When located properly, your machines are always on the job. You
don't have to be there when the money comes in.
What better
business to get started in than vending?
In good locations, your machines can be paid for in a relatively
short period of time. Then the choice is yours: will you keep your route
small or continue to grow? Either way, you are in control.
